#### **Introduction (10 minutes)**
1. **Greetings and Roll Call:**
- Welcome the students and take attendance.
2. **Warm-Up Activity:**
- Ask students to describe who they live with.
- Initiate a brief discussion on what they think a family is.
#### **Direct Teaching (20 minutes)**
1. **Definition of Family:**
- Write "Family" on the board.
- Explain that a family consists of people related by blood, marriage, or adoption who live together and care for one another.
2. **Types of Families:**
- Show flashcards or pictures of different family types:
- **Nuclear Family:** Parents and their children.
- **Extended Family:** Includes grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
- **Single-Parent Family:** One parent raising one or more children.
- **Childless Family:** Couples without children.
- **Foster Family:** Families taking care of children who are not their biological children.
- **Adoptive Family:** Families who have legally adopted a child.
- Describe each type briefly and give examples.
3. **Story/Video:**
- Read a storybook or show a short video about diverse family structures.
- Discuss the story/video with the class afterward, focusing on the themes of love, care, and unity among different types of families.

- Hand out the family tree worksheet.
